Piyush Singh is the Founder and CEO of Terrene Labs, a company that was recently acquired by FRISS. Additionally, he serves as an Independent Director for Signal Mutual.

Terrene Labs is at the forefront of leading companies in disrupting the small business commercial insurance industry. The company’s mission is to provide an optimal balance, delivering a delightful experience for agents, brokers, and bankers, coupled with high veracity application data and additional risk evaluation data for insurance carriers. The ultimate result is the future of risk evaluation, offering a pleasant experience for users while enabling insurance carriers and banks to enhance their risk selection and pricing capabilities. Notably, Terrene was featured as one of the “17 startups to watch for 2017” within a year of its founding.

Piyush Singh brings a wealth of experience from his successful corporate career, having held positions such as Director, Senior Vice-President, and Chief Information Officer at Great American Insurance Group, among others. His professional journey also includes consulting roles at companies like Price Waterhouse Coopers, ANZ Bank, and Citicorp.

Singh is recognized as a business-savvy executive and industry thought leader who excels in preparing for an uncertain future. He possesses the remarkable ability to connect disparate concepts and ideas within and outside the insurance industry, paving the way for emerging patterns. Singh is known for his analytical skills and the capacity to dissect complex problems into effective solutions and business opportunities by leveraging process and technology. His dedication to industry transformation led him to leave a successful corporate career.

His achievements in the insurance and technology sectors include receiving the “Elite 8 CIO” award from Insurance and Technology in 2005 and 2013, being named the “Top 10 CIO Breakaway Leader” at the Global CIO Executive Summit in 2011, and being recognized as one of the “26 Innovators to Watch” in 2018.

In addition to his professional roles, Singh is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Cincinnati and holds a membership emeritus with the National Council of Advisors for the Foster College of Business at Bradley University. He has also served as a Trustee for Adler University and is the President and founder of the charitable organization KARNA, which is involved in disaster relief work, runs an after-school support system for approximately 175 children, operates an award-winning Karate school, and recently built a 1000-student auditorium in a remote graduate college. Singh has previously served as a Board member of IASA and is a member of the PCI IT Council, Chair of UC’s IS Advisory Board, Chair of EDGE (a CA User Group), and Chair of the SYNON User Group.

Beyond his professional and philanthropic endeavors, Piyush Singh has a passion for travel and photography. He has explored all seven continents and successfully trekked to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
