Melissa Hathaway, President of Hathaway Global Strategies LLC, is a globally recognized expert in cybersecurity, cyberspace policy, and digital risk management. She consults with governments, international organizations, and Fortune 500 companies, providing insights on cybersecurity, enterprise risk management, and technology assessments. Melissa’s expertise extends to advising institutions like the UN, NATO, the ITU, and the OAS. She also has affiliations with esteemed universities and think tanks worldwide.
Melissa Hathaway’s distinguished career includes work with two U.S. Presidents, where she played pivotal roles in shaping the nation’s cybersecurity strategies. She spearheaded the Cyberspace Policy Review for President Barack Obama and led the Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative for President George W. Bush. Her commendable leadership earned her the National Intelligence Reform Medal and the National Intelligence Meritorious Unit Citation.
Notably, Melissa developed the Cyber Readiness Index (CRI), a methodology for assessing national cybersecurity preparedness, which has received international acclaim.
