Stuart Kippelman

Stuart Kippelman serves as the CIO of Parsons Corporation. Prior to his current role, Kippelman held the position of Senior Vice President and CIO for Platform Specialty Products, a global organization specializing in high-tech specialty chemicals and technical services. Their offerings include a wide range of specialty chemicals used in various industries, such as agrochemical, animal health, electronics, graphic arts, plating, and offshore oil production and drilling.

Before joining Parsons, Kippelman was the Senior Vice President and CIO for Covanta. During his tenure, he spearheaded global IT initiatives, employing innovative technologies to revolutionize the company’s operations and revenue generation. His transformative work at Covanta earned him several prestigious industry recognitions, including the Top 100 CIOs in STEM in 2015, Computerworld’s 2014 Premier IT Leader Award, and the CIO.com Top 100 Award in 2012, 2013, and 2014.

Stuart Kippelman also gained valuable experience during his time at Johnson & Johnson, where he held various leadership and technical roles with increasing responsibilities. These roles included Corporate Director of Technology M&A and Emerging Market Growth, CIO/CTO of Health & Wellness, VP of Global Infrastructure Technology Engineering and Development, as well as positions in engineering, architecture, research, portfolio management, deployment, and operations.

In addition to his corporate roles, Kippelman is a monthly guest columnist for the Wall Street Journal and a featured blogger on Computerworld.com. He holds multiple patents in data mining and Business Intelligence. Stuart is a seasoned speaker, frequently delivering keynote presentations at major industry conferences on a wide range of topics, including Leadership, Innovation, Mobile Computing, Consumerization of IT, Cloud, and Cybersecurity.

Stuart Kippelman actively contributes to the development of the next generation of IT leadership and serves as a career mentor for the CIO Executive Council Pathways program. He holds an M.B.A. in Technology Management and a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Phoenix.
