Alejandro Martinez

Alejandro Martinez serves as the Chief Information Officer at Fortrea and holds a role as a Member of the Board of Advisors at Quantum Metric. He previously held the position of SVP and Chief Information Officer at Capri Holdings.

With a distinguished career spanning multiple industries, including retail, automotive, and pharmaceuticals, Mr. Martinez has established himself as a global technology leader. He joined Capri Holdings in March 2021, where he oversees the global IT teams and leads critical initiatives, such as eCommerce, digital transformation, SAP ERP implementation, and the development of a long-term systems roadmap to support future growth and business requirements.

Notably, as the former CIO of Walgreens, Mr. Martinez spearheaded a comprehensive transformation of the company’s retail digital platform. His earlier career included various CIO roles at General Motors, as well as serving as SVP and CIO at QuintilesIMS. During his time at QuintilesIMS, he worked across LATAM, EMEA, North America, and London, where he held the role of CIO for Europe.

Boasting over two decades of experience as a global executive in both mature and emerging markets, Mr. Martinez has led numerous successful transformations. His expertise spans digital transformation, customer-centric strategies, supply chain management, and the implementation of cloud-native applications at scale.

Alejandro Martinez is a graduate of Universidad La Salle, where he earned a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Sciences. He has also completed several certifications, including one from MIT Sloan School of Management in e-Business, as well as an Advanced Management and Leadership Programme from the University of Oxford.
