Frederick Kauber

Fred Kauber is the Chief Innovation Officer of Travel Nurse Across America, where he spearheads the digital transformation and growth of the leading provider of traveling healthcare professionals and contingent staffing solutions for hospitals across the United States. In this high-impact role, he oversees all technology and marketing initiatives for this rapidly expanding private equity-backed company, which generates hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue and employs several hundred professionals. His responsibilities include leading The Gypsy Nurse, the world’s largest healthcare traveler community platform with over 500,000 members, and organizing TravCon, the premier conference for travel nurses and allied healthcare professionals.

Before this role, Fred was the Chief Product & Technology Officer of BFS Capital, where he played a key role in the digital transformation of this prominent alternative lender catering to small and medium-sized businesses.

Fred brings to the table more than two decades of executive leadership experience, having served in various capacities such as CTO, CIO, CPO, and CMO. He has managed technology, product management, marketing, and operations functions at both Fortune 500 companies and entrepreneurial ventures in the financial services, marketing, and technology sectors. His extensive career spans firms like Bigfoot Interactive, First Data Corporation, Dun & Bradstreet, and IBM Corporation. Notably, he was the CTO and CMO at CAIS Group, a fintech marketplace platform, and the CTO at TRANZACT, where he launched autoinsurance.com and directhealth.com in collaboration with Walmart.

In addition to his corporate roles, Fred shares his expertise as an adjunct professor, teaching enterprise technology strategy in the graduate program of the NYU School of Professional Studies.

Fred holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Manhattan College and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He also earned an M.S. in Telecommunications from Pace University. His professional qualifications include being a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) and receiving Six Sigma Black Belt training. Furthermore, he is a distinguished member of the Forbes Technology Council.
