Hubert Tardieu

Hubert Tardieu currently serves as an Independent Director of the Gaia-X Association for Data and Cloud (AISBL). He has had a significant role in the organization, having previously been the Interim CEO in 2020 and then the Chairman of the Board in 2021. His current position focuses on managing relationships with governments as an independent board member.

Tardieu’s professional background includes a 27-year tenure at Sema, later known as SchlumbergerSema, and subsequently Atos. During his time at Atos, he held various executive committee positions, including EVP for Global Telecom, Global Finance, and Global Consulting & Systems Integration. He later served as an advisor to the CEO of Atos, contributing to the formulation of a vision for the world in the next five years. His efforts led to the creation of the Atos Scientific Community in June 2009, a global community consisting of 160 top scientists, engineers, and forward thinkers from diverse backgrounds. The community produces various publications, including a future vision report titled “Journey 2024 – Redefining Enterprise Purpose.” They also contribute to whitepapers and blogs, as well as participate in innovation workshops and proof-of-concepts.

Additionally, Mr. Tardieu is an author and has written several books on Information System Design Methodology, particularly Merise. His most recent publication, “Deliberately Digital: Rewriting Enterprise DNA for enduring success,” co-authored by Tardieu and others, was published in March 2020 by Springer.
