Inder Koul

Koul is currently the Founder and Managing Partner at Koul Insights. He was also the Co-Founder and President of an early-stage healthcare technology startup, and serves as the Strategic Partner and Head of Emerging Fin-Tech Products and Services at CE3 Solutions. Koul has experience as the Chief Information Officer at 1st Source Bank.
With over 30 years of experience in global leadership and innovation, business transformation, technology, digital, cyber, and operations, Koul also served as the EVP and CIO for First Niagara Financial Group. As a member of the Management committee, he chaired the Enterprise Investment Governance Committee and managed the Enterprise Chief Digital and Data Officer functions for the bank. This included overseeing Digital Technology, Digital Products, Digital Marketing, Data, and Social Media operations. Koul also provided vision and leadership for the development and implementation of the company’s 4-year Strategic Investment and Business Transformation Program.
Prior to First Niagara, Koul was with Huntington Bank where he served in the roles of CIO for the bank’s Commercial, Auto Finance and Corporate Services groups, and as the Director of Enterprise Project Management Office. Before that, he was with Bank of America for seven years in a variety of senior executive positions, including business processing, operations, customer service and IT program management roles. Inder has managed business development and implementation of large-scale programs at IBM, KPMG Consulting, Verizon, Morgan Stanley and Citibank UK.
Koul is a member of the Technology Committee at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and a member of Board of Advisors at the FAIR Institute, which is focused on advancing the risk profession towards financially-oriented and business-aligned decision making. He has served on the Board of BCAT (Buffalo Center for Arts and Technology) as well as a Board Member of the Strategic Advisory Board at FTV Capital – a leading growth investment fin-tech equity firm.  
Koul is a graduate of BITS-Pilani University in India, with a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering. During his career, he has lived, worked and done business in North America, Europe, India, Latin America and Asia.
