John Martino

John Martino is the Managing Director of Clearing IT at The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC), which was recognized as Risk Magazine’s 2022 Clearing House of the Year and is the world’s largest equity derivatives clearing organization.

Before joining OCC, he served as the Global Head of IT & Operations for PRIME Services Clearing at Societe Generale’s Global Banking Services Chicago Branch. He is a dynamic leader known for driving successful international transformation projects, achieving operational excellence, and fostering innovation. His career has been dedicated to the global financial services sector.

In addition to his current role in Chicago, Martino spent four years in Societe Generale’s Paris office, leading a global software development transformation. He began his career at Societe Generale in New York in 2002, heading the local Fixed Income IT team.

Prior to his tenure at Societe Generale, Martino led the NY Fixed Income IT team at Credit Lyonnais (now Credit Agricole) for four years and was responsible for Citibank’s Treasury Information Services for a decade.

Martino holds a B.A. from Stockton University and an M.S. from Dartmouth College in Information Systems Management. He is an active sponsor of the Diversabilities Employee Resource Group at Societe Generale.
