Julia Anderson

Julia Anderson is currently the Chief Technology & Information Officer at Campbell Soup Company. In her previous role, she served as the Global Chief Information Officer at Smithfield Foods, a $15 billion global food company. As a member of the executive leadership team at Smithfield Foods, she supported the company’s strategic targets by executing enterprise-wide information technology strategies to allow the company to scale its operations and use analytics to drive decision making.

Ms. Anderson is a business-focused IT executive with an extensive track record in Fortune 500 consumer branded companies. Prior to Smithfield, she was Vice President of Global Applications and CIO North America at HJ Heinz where she was instrumental in the successful privatization of the company. Prior to Heinz, she was an IT Leader at PepsiCo during the growth of Foodservice division and bottler acquisition years. Ms. Anderson held transformation and IT leadership roles at Kraft foods during the merger with General Foods and Oscar Mayer. She joined parent company Altria where she was responsible for corporate systems. She started her career at Baxter Healthcare.

Ms. Anderson serves on the Board of Directors for Make-A-Wish Virginia and the CGT Consumer Goods Technology, Executive Advisory Council. She has been active in SIM (Society of Information Management) since 1999. Ms. Anderson served on the board of the Fairfield Westchester chapter for three years and is a member of the Advanced Practices Council since 2006.
