Mark Hutchison

Mark Hutchison is CIO at Scotiabank. Scotiabank is a leading bank in Canada and a leading financial services provider in the Americas. Scotiabank helps its customers, their families and their communities achieve success through a broad range of advice, products and services, including personal and commercial banking, wealth management and private banking, corporate and investment banking, and capital markets. 
Prior to joining Scotiabank, Hutchison was CIO for M&G Investment Management, where he was responsible for the technology that drove M&G’s Investment Strategies which included Fixed Income, Equities, Infrastructure and Alternatives. He was also responsible for M&G’s Data Platform and Client Reporting Solutions.
Previously Hutchison was Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure Transformation at Deutsche Bank where he was responsible for delivering the global data centre strategy as well as the Private and Public cloud solutions. Also at Deutsche Hutchison Served as the Head of Technology for the Asset and Wealth Management Division, and the Head of Technology for the Commodities Business.
Before joining Deutsche Hutchison held positions including Head of Commodities Technology and Head of Emerging Markets Technology at Credit Suisse.  
Hutchison has worked around the globe in these roles, living in Australia, Japan, Switzerland and the US. He is now based in London, United Kingdom.
Hutchison holds a BEng in Aeronautical Engineering from Loughborough University and a Masters in Technology Management from Columbia.
