Mark Mooney
Mark Mooney is the Managing Director for Veramea and a Principal for MyEdulife. Veramea provides transformational services to organizations undergoing growth and technological change. MyEdulife provides data governance software to organizations in the field of education.
Previously, Mooney was SVP and CIO at McGraw-Hill Education, where he directed the use of technology to enhance learning, assessment, and other initiatives. Prior to joining McGraw-Hill Education, Mooney was VP and CIO for Harcourt Education, Reed Elsevier. He also served as SVP and CTO at Vivendi Universal’s Houghton Mifflin Company, where he was responsible for the integration of technology between Vivendi and Houghton Mifflin. Mooney has also held senior technology positions at the Bureau of National Affairs and Interactive Marketing Services.
Mooney holds a B.S. in engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, an M.S. in information information technology from Johns Hopkins University, and a Ph.D. in organizational systems from the Fielding Institute. Mooney has been awarded several achievement awards for his efforts related to implementing technology in organizations. In addition to receiving the Babson College Center for Information Management Achievement Award, he was an adjunct professor at George Washington University, and was a Fellow at the Change Management Program at John Hopkins University.
