Michelle Garvey

Michelle Garvey is currently serving as a Senior Advisor at Alvarez & Marsal. Before this role, she was part of the Advisory Board of Total Retail Group and Vation Ventures. She was also a member of the AWS Retail Leaders Advisory Forum.

Prior to these advisory roles, Ms. Garvey had a distinguished career in various leadership positions. She held the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Deputy Chief Transformation Officer at J. Crew. Earlier in her career, she served as the Senior Vice President (SVP) and CIO of Ann Inc., a leading specialty retailer for fashionable women’s clothing, with a presence in the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada.

Ms. Garvey’s extensive experience also includes CIO roles at Warnaco, Brooks Brothers, Memberworks, and Sportmart. She has previously worked with notable retailers like Crate and Barrel, the Registry Stores, and Ames Department Stores.

She initiated her career in consulting at Arthur Andersen, which provided her with valuable insights and expertise in the field.

Ms. Garvey holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance, both earned from Cornell University. Her educational background and wealth of experience reflect her strong foundation and contributions to the business and technology sectors.
