Nidal Babar

Nidal Babar currently serves as the Vice President of Global Infrastructure at American Express. Before his role at American Express, he was the Managing Director in the Consumer & Community Banking Technology division of JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Mr. Babar has held several leadership positions throughout his career, including roles at Tradeweb, where he was Managing Director for Global Infrastructure & Enterprise Technology and Co-Head of Inter-Dealer Broking Technology. At Tradeweb, he played a key role in building the technology organization that supported Inter-Dealer Electronic and Hybrid trading businesses.

Prior to his time at Tradeweb, he served as the Head of EMEA Technology Operations at ICAP Plc in London, overseeing system operations and delivery for trading, middle, and back office functions in the EMEA region. Nidal Babar has extensive experience in electronic trading technology and has held various leadership roles across the technology stack, starting at BrokerTec in 1999.

Mr. Babar holds a B.S. in Computer Information Systems from Bellevue University and an M.S. in Technology Management from Columbia University. Additionally, he serves as an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at Caldwell University.
