Raphaël Capelli

A 25-year business and IT consulting veteran and former IBM General Manager, Raphael has been responsible for the strategy, execution and results of many large businesses globally. He also held various positions in marketing and sales and developed an extensive experience in merger and acquisition.
As IBM Senior Executive, Raphael directed lately the integration of Promontory Financial Group, a leading consulting firm operating at the intersection of strategy, risk management and regulatory compliance. Raphael’s mission was to combine Promontory’s deep industry expertise with cutting edge cognitive technologies and services global capabilities to create a unique set of solutions that helped financial institutions solve their most complex business challenges.
Prior to this role, Raphael led a team of more than 5,000 consultants who helped major financial services and insurance firms throughout North America accelerate their digital transformation by redefining their business processes and redesigning their operations using disruptive technologies like AI, advanced analytics and blockchain.
Raphael also spent three years in Asia where he managed a team of 1,200 consultants operating in countries like Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia. His mission was to leverage both business and IT transformation solutions and capabilities to develop across South East Asia a strong and sustainable profitable growth, opening new markets in countries like Vietnam and The Philippines.
In 2008, Raphael was appointed General Manager for IBM in France and North Africa, where he led a team of 3,000 IT consultants. In four years, he transformed the business by implementing an industry led model integrating both business and IT capabilities as well new technology to deliver differentiated solutions to the clients and helping them transition to the digital age.
