Ted DellaVecchia

Ted DellaVecchia is Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of Symbotix, a management consulting firm with a long record of building, implementing, and advancing digital health innovations. He and his team serve startup, growth-stage, and enterprise-class healthcare organizations by enabling and accelerating the adoption bridge between entrepreneurial achievements and legacy healthcare ecosystems. Mr. DellaVecchia inspires and leads IT-enabled reinvention of business operating models at large academic medical centers, national payers, health systems and alliances, and other organizations in the healthcare industry.

Mr. DellaVecchia is the founding chairman of the Healthcare Industry Transformation Project (HITP). Founded in 2011, the HITP is a digital-health innovation ecosystem of early-adopting healthcare organizations collaborating to invoke true reinvention of the healthcare industry. He is also a strategic advisor and the Business Transformation Executive for Bluedoor (bluedoor.us/) and sponsoring partner at DHIT (dhitglobal.org/).

Prior to Symbotix, Mr. DellaVecchia led IT-enabled business transformations at several Fortune 100 enterprises across multiple industries. Examples include: delivered global elements of a corporate turnaround at IBM Corporation, defined and advanced world-wide supply-chains and drove earnings growth for Starbucks Coffee Company, and as senior vice president / CIO restructured IT divisions into high performance engines while innovating enterprise business strategies for three multi-billion dollar Blue Cross Blue Shield health insurance companies.

Mr. DellaVecchia has served as sponsor and advising board member of the Center for Information Systems Research at MIT Sloan School of Management, has performed as guest lecturer at MIT Sloan and frequently speaks at industry events on the topic of accelerating/assimilating use of digital health solutions for symbiotic ecosystem interactions. He also served on Boards of Directors for companies transcending successful Initial Public Offerings and those pioneering the use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) methodologies in healthcare.
