In August, the Center hosted our friends from Sorenson Communications for the “Emerging Business Leaders” leadership development course. Sorenson is a wonderful company that specializes in providing communication solutions for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities. This program was tailored for high-potential leaders spanning from Directors to top-level executives. Participants worked collaboratively to identify and improve the issues they face every day. Sorenson leaders left the training with:
- Knowledge of how to build an effective business case with viability and success metrics
- New strategies for managing cross-departmental relationships and interdependencies
- An ability to communicate convincingly to executive leadership
- Stronger relationships with a cross-functional set of peers
Attendees worked in cross-functional groups to build a business case (using real life examples from their work) from beginning to end. We enjoyed spending time with such creative and energetic leaders. We look forward to hosting them again in the future.
