AI and Digital Transformation Event – Miami

August 1, 2025

July 23–24, 2025

The Center for Technology Management & Digital Leadership hosted its latest AI and Digital Transformation Program in Miami, bringing together senior leaders from across industries for an intensive two-day exploration of artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and the evolving business landscape.

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Miami, the event created an environment where participants could step away from daily operations and immerse themselves in forward-thinking dialogue. From the opening coffee and introductions, the atmosphere was charged with curiosity, collaboration, and a readiness to challenge the status quo.

Day 1: Setting the Stage for Transformation

The program began with Prof. Arthur Langer unpacking Macro Trends in Technology and AI, framing the global context in which organizations are navigating disruption. This was followed by Prof. Fernando Suarez leading a thought-provoking workshop and case study on The Digitalization of the Auto Industry, offering real-world insights into how legacy sectors are redefining themselves.

In the afternoon, participants explored Data Architecture and Data Discovery – critical building blocks for AI readiness – before diving into the intersection of AI, Robotics, and Space, where Prof. Suarez examined emerging business models that are reshaping possibilities in uncharted industries. The day concluded with a wrap-up session and Q&A, leaving participants with fresh perspectives to reflect on over dinner.

Day 2: From Strategy to Implementation

The second day shifted focus toward organizational design and operational agility. Prof. Langer and Ursula Soritsch-Renier, CDIO of Saint Gobain, facilitated an interactive workshop on The Organization of AI and Cultural Transformation, addressing how leadership mindset and company culture influence successful adoption.

This was followed by an engaging session on Risks of AI and Mitigation Strategies in the Energy Industry, including a cybersecurity deep dive on resilience in the age of AI. Afternoon discussions examined Conversion from Process to Platform Design, highlighting how agile structures can unlock innovation at scale. The program closed with a spirited dialogue – Managing by Algorithms: How Far Can We Go? pushing participants to consider the boundaries of automation in decision-making.

Collaboration, Insight, and Action

Throughout the two days, the exchange of ideas was as valuable as the content itself. Leaders shared their own challenges, debated solutions, and built connections that will extend beyond the program.

The event concluded with the distribution of certificates, marking not just the completion of the program but the beginning of participants’ next steps in leading digital transformation within their organizations.
